These release notes are meant to give an overview of new features and/or enhancements launched in the month of July.
What's New for Practice Management
Client Request Templates
Description: Canopy users can now create Client Request templates. Client Request templates will help to keep your firm's client requests consistent. Admin users can create templates to be used by all firm members when interacting with clients.
Find this change:
- Click Templates on the global navigation bar.
- Choose Client Request from the slide-in menu.

Inactive Contacts
Description: Contacts can now be marked as Inactive Contacts in order to prevent them from counting against your contact billing. Typically, connections would be marked as inactive in order to include their information under a primary contact.
Find this change:
- On the Edit contact page, locate the Active box.
- Switch the toggle to Grey to mark the contact as Inactive.
- Switch the toggle to Green to mark the contact as Active.

Multi-Tennant Functionality
Description: Canopy users can now use the same email address for multiple Canopy accounts. This will allow Canopy account holders to use Canopy at multiple firms. Moreover, clients can now switch firms and use the same email address to access the client portal at their new firm.

What's New for Tax Resolution
Printing Notice Files
Description: Canopy users can now print notice files directly from the notice. Docx files will automatically convert to PDFs when a user clicks print. This functionality extends to notice templates as well.
Find this change:
- Navigate to a relevant Notice in Canopy.
- Click on the Options menu in-line with a docx file.
- Choose Print from the dropdown menu.

Canopy Mobile iOS v1.7.1 and Android v1.7.3
Description: Canopy Mobile users can now mark contacts and connections as Inactive directly from the mobile application.
