These release notes are meant to give an overview of new features and/or enhancements launched in the month of August.
What's new for Practice Management
Client Requests in Task Templates
Description: Canopy's preset task templates now include Client Requests. This inclusion will improve the functionality of the preset templates and allow for quicker and easier integration with client request features.
Find this change:
- Click Templates on the global navigation bar.
- Choose Task from the slide-in menu.
- Select an applicable Canopy Template.
Time on Tasks and the Productivity Dashboard
Description: Time entries can now be added to a task, notice, or subtask in Canopy. Hours logged for each task can be viewed and budgeted on the new Productivity Dashboard. The Productivity Dashboard replaces the projects dashboard.
Find this change:
- Click Time on the global navigation bar.
- Choose Productivity from the slide-in menu.
What's new for Tax Resolution
Editable docx files in Notices
Description: Practitioners can now upload their own docx files to a notice. These files can then be edited within Canopy, allowing users to add merge fields and make any necessary changes without the need to leave Canopy.
What's new for Mobile
Canopy Mobile Practitioner App v1.8.0
Description: Practitioners can now create and edit tasks within the mobile application. Client requests and eSign are not yet available, but users can now create tasks, add subtasks, and edit a task straight from their phones.
Description: Canopy's practitioner and client portal apps now support multi-tenant usage. You can use the same email address to log into multiple firms that use Canopy.
