eSign Enhancements

Description: Newly uploaded files will now allow eSign requests to be made without the need to refresh the page. Previously, pages had to be refreshed in order to make the eSign Request feature available.
Find this change: To see this change in action, upload a new file to Canopy Files.
- Once a new file has been uploaded, right click on the file or click the options menu.
- Choose eSignature request from the dropdown menu.

Desktop Assistant Scan-To
License/Permissions:

- Permissions: Access to the specific Client's folder.
Description: Canopy's Desktop Assistant now allows practitioners to scan documents from their scanner directly into Canopy Files.
Find this change:
- Set up your scanner to scan to Canopy Files
- Ensure that your previously set up Canopy profile is selected as your scanner's output and scan a document.
- The desktop assistant will provide a popup window to choose where to save your scanned document.

Billing Reports

Find this change:
- Navigate to the billing dashboard.
- Click Reports in the left-side menu.
- Choose a report to view.

Task Dashboard Filter Groups

Description: Filters can now be saved to filter groups on the tasks dashboard to easily access filter setups.
Find this change:
- Navigate to the tasks dashboard.
- Click on any of the column headers to set any necessary filters.
- Once a filter has been applied, click Save filter.
- Input a name in the popup and click Save.
- To access a saved filter group, click the filter name dropdown.

Transcripts Enhancements

Description: The Transcripts document has been updated for smoother scrolling, and faster loading. To see this feature, transcripts will have to be re-pulled.
Transcripts Filters

Find this change:

What's New for Mobile
Canopy Mobile iOS v1.4.2 and Android v1.4.0
Description: Canopy mobile now includes deep links for email notifications of files added by clients. In addition, the Android application can now utilize the Scan with camera feature to scan documents directly from the practitioner's phone to Canopy Files.
Find this change:
- To scan with camera, navigate to the desired file location in the Canopy app.
- Click the Add icon.
- Choose Scanwith camera.
Canopy Client Portal iOS v1.1.2 and Android v1.1.1
Description:
- Android users can now utilize the Scan with camera feature previously only available to iOS users.
- Android users can now print PDF's from their phones.
- Canopy Payments can now be completed within the app.
Find this change:
- To make a payment, navigate to the Billing tab.
- Tap Make a payment.
- If your accountant has enrolled in Canopy Payments, you will be brought to a secure web page to complete the payment process.
- To Scan with camera, navigate to the Files tab and tap Add file.
- Choose Scan with camera.
- To print PDFs, navigate to a PDF file.
- Tap the Options menu.
- Choose Print.
Canopy Client Portal v1.2
Description:
- Uploaded files will follow a new file naming convention to help your accountant better organize your documents: YYYY-MM-ClientName-FileType.pdf
- More deep links have been added for eSign and client portal invites. Now, links to eSign or to the client portal will open directly to the app.
Canopy Client Portal v1.3
Description:
The client portal now supports push notifications. When your accountant sends requests, you will receive a push notification that opens directly to the in-app request.
