These release notes are meant to give an overview of new features and/or enhancements launched in the month of June.
What's new for Practice Management
Duration Calculator Toggle
Description: Practitioners can now toggle how time appears in the time entry modal. When Duration is selected, the time entry modal will display the amount of time spent. When Duration Calculator is selected, users will be able to input a start and end time for a time entry. Time duration will be calculated according to the inputed start and end times.
Find this change:
- Navigate to the Settings from your profile icon.
- Scroll down to Default Time Entry.
- Choose your Default Time Entry option.

Contacts on Calendar Events
Description: Practitioners can now add contacts to Calendar Events. Additionally, assigned Calendar Events are now shown on the contact profile.
Find this change:
- When creating a Calendar Event, add contacts in the For client box.
- Navigate to a client's Contact profile.
- Scroll down to the Upcoming events box.
- Assigned Calendar events will be visible in the Upcoming events box.

File Previewer
Description: Canopy now uses a new file previewer to create a better user experience when viewing files.

Contact Updates
Description: Practitioners can now add up to 25 emails and phone numbers to a contact. Additionally, contacts can now be edited by clicking the dropdown arrow in-line with the Contact's name on the Contact profile.
What's new for Tax Resolution
Notice Templates
Description: Admin users can now create notice templates in Canopy. This will allow users to streamline their notice creation process across the firm.
Find this change:
- Click Templates on the global navigation bar.
- Choose Notice from the slide-in menu.

Notices as Tasks
Description: Notices are now included on the Tasks Dashboard. They are also visible on the Tasks tab for a relevant contact.

What's new for Mobile
Practitioner App 1.7.0 for Android and iOS
Description: Client tasks can now be viewed within the Canopy mobile practitioner app. In addition, you can now update a task's status from the mobile app, as well as add notes and upload files to an applicable task.
