This roadmap is meant to provide Canopy users with some insight into what updates our team is working on making available to you. The roadmap is roughly updated on a monthly basis.
QuickBooks Online (QBO)
Payments and Deposits Sync
Description: Payment and deposit information will soon be able to integrate with QBO so that all information is automatically synced between Canopy and QBO.
Goal: Create a more robust integration with QBO and allow users to better automate their workflow. This update will eliminate the need to enter payment and deposit information twice, and helps make bank reconciliation a quick and simple process in QBO.
WIP Billing for Recurring Invoices
Description: We're bringing the same great WIP billing features you love to recurring invoices. Soon, you'll be able to add time automatically to your recurring invoices.
Goal: Further automate the billing process for clients and save time by not having to create new WIP invoices over and over again.
Saved Filter Tabs
Description: Saved filter groups will be pulled out of their dropdown menu and made into tabs on the Task List. You will be able to click each tab and immediately load the filter group.
Goal: Eliminate clicks and provide a cleaner, more customizable Task List.
Custom Display Names
Description: You will be able to add a custom display name for your clients. This is designed to accommodate clients whose chosen name does not match their legal name while still allowing you to complete all of the legal documents you need to finish.
Goal: Eliminate confusion surrounding legal names and the names used by your clients. Help you to build a greater and more inclusive relationship with all of your clients.
Desktop Assistant on MacOS
Description: We will soon be releasing the desktop assistant on MacOS. All of the same great Desktop Assistant features that Windows users have enjoyed will be available to Mac users.
